HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!!
My Name is Al Baecker, and I am the owner-operator of Albea Quality Construction. Let me explain a bit about who I am, what I do, what it took to get here, and my construction philosophies.
After close to 30 years in the landscape and construction industries, and completing formal education in horticulture, carpentry, design and construction management disciplines, I have a very broad knowledge of the construction and renovation industry. My goal is to offer a wholistic approach to construction and renovation projects and make them sucessful by attacking the project from concept to completion. I truly believe that using one company or individule to design your project, construct that design, and oversee all aspects of the project from start to finish makes for a better process and end product. I am that individule who would like to make your construction project a pleasant experience with an outcome you are extremely happy with.
I also have a big commitment to making your project as sustainable as possible. By using all waterbourne paints, stains and finishes and using reclaimed and sustainable materials wherever possible, I am able to offer solutions for your project that have a less dramatic impact on our environment. After working with a local builder to construct my family home, I was shocked at the amount of garbage disposed of in the landfill, much of which was not garbage at all. By recycling packaging and building material waste, we can reduce the volume of waste in the landfill, without compramizing the quality of your project one bit.
There are also a lot of options when it comes to sustainable building materials that I like incorporate into the design and construction of your project. Reclaimed wood, locally produced materials, and products produced by companies that have sound environmental policies are key to creating a sustainable project. We are leaving less of a footprint on our environment while still offering affordable, attractive finishes that you will be proud to show to your family and friends.
Solvent based paints, laquers, and varnishes are a thing of the past. The VOC's and toxic waste that are present in the production and application of these products, the clean up of equipment, and disposal of excess materials is a large problem in my industry. I have made a commitment to using low VOC paints and finishes to promote a cleaner option in wood finishing. Once again, these choices do not affect the integrity of your project and make a dramatic difference to our environment.
